My thoughts were – what if the conflict is between the Intel adapter and the AMD adapter and I just need to cold boot the Mini without HDMI. It didn’t help to plugin the HDMI cable and you had to cold boot again. I recalled from previous times that if I forgot to plugin the HDMI cable and the thunderbolt eGPU, the Mini booted up (Mac OS) but you were unable to see the screen. It turns out that both Apple and Windows are in fact combined supporting a solution. In fact, they cannot influence the issue as the responsibility does not really exist with each of them.

bad support from Microsoft with psi.sys, Apple bad boot camp software/bios configuration, AMD doing something wrong in the drivers or even the graphic card itself). The breakthrough was that I realized, all my attempts are not the related to the root cause but trying to fix symptoms (e.g. This raised a coffee break longer than usual. All versions of windows showed same behavior and tricks like replacing the PCI.sys didn’t help. After all we are trying Voodoo dance with Apple and Microsoft.Īfter trying to get 20H2 to work with several attempts that included pci.sys, HackFlags 0圆00, DDU, AMD driver installations and a bit of new language as well, I released this would not work and I tried backwards with 1909 and ended up with 1903.īig was my surprise, that I was unable to return to 1909/1903.

I did want to install from the 1903 just in case I had to return to good old configuration. I also wanted to clean up the old installation, so I had no issue letting Boot Camp assistance drop and re-create the boot camp with a clean win1903 iso. This of course raised a concern and I wanted to upgrade to newest windows and all existing patches. Recently, I started to get “drivers outdated” warnings from games. The solution was rather simple as I just replaced the PCI.SYS file. Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to stop the win upgrade auto in time, so I ended up with 1909 and I had to use time to figure out the Code12 and suggestions.

My first installation with Boot Camp and Windows was with the release of the RX 5700 some years ago and I used Windows 1903. You can skip this and go directly to the guideline in below.

I think a bit of background might help to understand why I come to this conclusion.

Trick is to disable the Intel adapter after AMD driver installation. I think the error is the conflict between the internal Intel graphic adapter and the AMD Adapter. I just want to provide feedback to the forum and how I installed windows 10 Pro 21H2 and enabled the AMD RX 5700 TX eGPU (again).
